Practice Schedules

What’s expected at practices– Athletes have fun, bring a positive attitude, and adhere to our
club policies on Athlete Code of Conduct. As a Coaching group we will always meet the athlete
where they may be at and never push them to extend beyond what they may not want to do.
Athletes are encouraged to try their best and are supported through our programming.

Safe Sport– Titans follow all safe sport policies and procedures. We’re also part of the
Responsible Coaching Movement of Canada (RSM), and the Respect in Sport organization. We
are driven to create a safe, fun, and inclusive space for all those involved in our club.

U14 programming– Titans utilize the Run Jump Throw, and Wheel (RJTW) framework from
Athletics Canada. We offer a no pressure, fun, and engaging learning environment where
athletes are encouraged as they further their physical literacy.

14+ programming– Titans utilize the NCCP training framework as outlined by Athletics Canada
and the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). Athletes in this group are welcome to try all
event areas, and coaching will be provided to the level they may be at in their Long Term
Athlete Development model (LTAD).

Outdoor Practice Schedule

*Outdoor season times differ to day, temperature, availability, etc. Refer to WhatsApp groupchat for specifics.

U14 Usual Practices:

  • When: Tuesdays & Thurdays
  • Where: Lindsay Thurber Track (Woody’s Athletic Park)
  • Time: 17:00-18:15 (5:00pm-6:15pm)

14+ Usual Practices:

  • When: Tuesday’s &Thursday’s:
  • Where: the Lindsay Thurber Track (Woody’s track)
  • Time: 16:30-19:00 (4:30pm-7:00pm)

Additional Training:

  1. Friday/Saturday Technical Practices: typical training at the track. Times differ to availability of coaches and track. Extra practices will be included with the monthly schedules as well as on the WhatsApp groupchat.
  2. Sunday Strength Training: workout with Coach Crystal at the Gary Harris Center from 13:15-14:00 (1:15pm-2:00pm) followed with a sprint workout with Coach Max from 14:00-15:30 (2:00pm-3:30pm)

  • Time: 16:30-17:45 (4:00pm-5:45pm)

14+ Usual Practices

  • When: Tuesdays & Thurdays
  • Where: Collicutt Center Track
  • Time: 17:00-19:00 (5:00pm-7:00pm)

Additional Training:

  1. Friday Technical Practices: In the soccer pitch with our event coaches at the same times as usual practices.
  2. Sunday Strength Training: workout with Coach Crystal at the Gary Harris Center from 13:15-14:00 (1:15pm-2:00pm) followed with a sprint workout with Coach Max from 14:00-15:30 (2:00pm-3:30pm)
